"VIRTUES of the SECOND SPHERE - CHRISTIAN HIERARCHY"

The Virtues' primary job is to move massive quantities of spiritual energy to the earth plane and the collective human consciousness. The Virtues are the spirits of movement, working and guiding the elemental energies that affect our planet. These are the angels of nature (earth, air, fire, water, spirit, weather patterns, planetary upheavals). Call the Virtues to your assistance when you are in trouble or working in a healing profession.

"ANGELS ARE MESSENGERS, BUT SOMETIMES WE MISUNDERSTAND THEIR LANGUAGE. ~ LINDA SOLEGATO"

PA:
Another category that made me "whoa". Never had i imagined that word virtue would also mean a classification of an angel. Virtue, as per Thesaurus, is also synonymous with good value, high caliber, pro, righteousness, integrity and uprightness. True to the associated words, Virtues as often considered to motivate individuals. Another thing, I thought angels are only focused on the well-being (safety/faith/values/"put your word here") of people here on earth. Virtues are also in charge when it comes to the cosmos, an orderly or harmonious system and is generally used as a synonym of the word Universe, making them known also by the name, Strongholds.

CI:
Known as the Transparent Ones, these angels, as the description suggests, are composed of matter so fine as to make their persons insubstantial compared to other beings.

Their primary duty is to supervise the movements of the heavenly bodies in order to ensure that the cosmos remains in order. They have been called "The Brilliant or Shining Ones" and are said to inspire the saints. This order of Angels are also called the Angels of miracles, encouragement, and blessings, and are particularly involved with people struggling with their faith. Said to be the chief bestowers of grace and valor. Virtues also assist guardian angels in helping humankind avoid accidents. When we experience situations where accidents are narrowly avoided (or impossibly avoided), the "miracle" involved can often be attributed to Virtues in action.

Historically, without the Virtues, many a hurricane or other weather related challenge that was turned aside would have destroyed human life. Virtues are not always successful, and this saddens them. When they do fail, Virtues work to encourage human beings in terms of staying the course.

The term appears to be linked to the attribute "might", from the Greek root "δύναμις" in Ephesians 1:21, which is also translated as "Virtue". They are presented as the celestial Choir "Virtues", in the Summa Theologica.
  • From Dionysius the Areopagite: "The name of the holy Virtues signifies a certain powerful and unshakable virility welling forth into all their Godlike energies; not being weak and feeble for any reception of the divine Illuminations granted to it; mounting upwards in fullness of power to an assimilation with God; never falling away from the Divine Life through its own weakness, but ascending unwaveringly to the superessential Virtue which is the Source of virtue: fashioning itself, as far as it may, in virtue; perfectly turned towards the Source of virtue, and flowing forth providentially to those below it, abundantly filling them with virtue."
