"PHOEBE/SELENE=LUNA"

Since mythology is somewhat broad and have many characters, i will be posting two gods per post.

“Time, which sees all things, has found you out. - Sophocles Oedipus The King”

In Greek mythology "radiant" Phoebe, was one of the original Titans, who were one set of sons and daughters of Uranus and Gaea. She was traditionally associated with the moon. Her consort was her brother Coeus, with whom she had two daughters, Leto, who bore Artemis and Apollo, and Asteria, a star-goddess who bore an only daughter Hecate.

Phoebe was the Titan goddess of the "bright" intellect, wife of Coeus, "the inquirer." She was the third goddess to hold the Oracle of Delphoi. Phoebe's name was associated with the Greek words phoibos, "bright" or "radiant," phoibaô "to purify" and phoibazô "to give prophesy."

Titan of the Moon. Mother of Leto.
